A necklace from 1830 that was originally part of the French Crown Jewels is being offered for sale for $375,000, according to IDEX Online.
Diamond And Ruby Necklace
The necklace comes with its original leather-fitted case. The "amazing necklace is genuinely suitable for royalty," according to MS Rau, an antiques, jewellery, and art merchant headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana.
According to the story, the historic necklace is encrusted with diamonds and Burmese rubies and was part of a collection auctioned off by the Third Republic in 1875, "fearing a coup by royalist rivals." Tiffany & Co.'s Charles Tiffany flew to Paris for the auction and returned to New York with a third of the collection, increasing Tiffany and Co's fortunes.
