Christie's Magnificent Jewelry sale at Rockefeller Center on December 6th will include a wide range of valuable coloured and colourless diamonds, as well as signature jewels by historical names such as Bulgari, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and others. The sale will be on display in New York from December 2 to 5. The unique coloured diamond pendant-necklace is set with a 31.62-carat, fancy blue, probably internally flawless diamond (estimate $10,000,000-15,000,000), which is the biggest fancy blue diamond ever to appear at auction.
A stunning diamond pendant-necklace with an outstanding pear-shaped 86.64-carat D colour diamond (estimate $5,000,000-7,000,000) and a brilliant Diamond 'Palm-Tree' brooch set by Cartier from 1948 (approx $500,000-700,000) are among highlights. The brooch is from Margaret Thompson Biddle's collection and has a circle brilliant-cut diamond weighing 13.30 carats. A fancy intense blue oval brilliant-cut diamond of 2.21 carats (estimate $1,200,000-1,800,000); a diamond torque bangle bracelet set with a D color, internally flawless heart-shaped diamond of 50.05 carats (estimate $3,700,000 - 4,500,000); and the De Beers Yellow, an exceptional fancy vivid yellow, internally flawless emerald-cut diamond of 13.75 carats (estimate $1,100,000 - 1,800,000).
