During The Third Quarter, The Price Of Blue, Pink, And Yellow Diamonds Continued To Grow

According to the latest Fancy Color Diamond Index (FCDI) from the Fancy Color Research Foundation, the price of blue, pink, and yellow diamonds continued to grow during the third quarter (FCRF).

Christie's Magnificent Jewelry sale at Rockefeller Center on December 6th will include a wide range of valuable coloured and colourless diamonds, as well as signature jewels by historical names such as Bulgari, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and others. The sale will be on display in New York from December 2 to 5. The unique coloured diamond pendant-necklace is set with a 31.62-carat, fancy blue, probably internally flawless diamond (estimate $10,000,000-15,000,000), which is the biggest fancy blue diamond ever to appear at auction.

A stunning diamond pendant-necklace with an outstanding pear-shaped 86.64-carat D colour diamond (estimate $5,000,000-7,000,000) and a brilliant Diamond 'Palm-Tree' brooch set by Cartier from 1948 (approx $500,000-700,000) are among highlights. The brooch is from Margaret Thompson Biddle's collection and has a circle brilliant-cut diamond weighing 13.30 carats. A fancy intense blue oval brilliant-cut diamond of 2.21 carats (estimate $1,200,000-1,800,000); a diamond torque bangle bracelet set with a D color, internally flawless heart-shaped diamond of 50.05 carats (estimate $3,700,000 - 4,500,000); and the De Beers Yellow, an exceptional fancy vivid yellow, internally flawless emerald-cut diamond of 13.75 carats (estimate $1,100,000 - 1,800,000).

Billionaire Laurence Graff paid a record-breaking $46.1 million for a magnificent vivid pink diamond weighing 24.78 carats. Originally owned by his competitor Harry Winston, it now carries graff’s name and is a part of the legendary collection of rare diamonds.

We usually advise brilliant round diamonds with a cut grade of very good, ideal, or super ideal for engagement rings (also known as hearts and arrows). A high cut grade maximises a diamond’s beauty for a given carat weight.

It’s crucial to have a concept of what you might prefer before starting your search because it will enable you to focus on fewer of the many engagement ring possibilities that are now available. Also, when you initially start browsing, it helps to have a few distinct design concepts and the overall budget because the variety can be overwhelming.

Here are Engagement Ring Trends 2023:

1. Modern Art-Deco
2. Colored Stones
3. Lab-Grown Diamonds
4. East-West Settings
5. Multiple Large Stones
